🎓Professional Development Credit Offerings
Description
The Idaho Training Clearinghouse (ITC) works with the University of Idaho (UI) to offer professional development (inservice) credit courses for K-12 educators across the state. The ITC is an established, approved UI instructor of record and can process and oversee professional development (PD) credit offerings. Whether you need to (a) develop a complete online course and offer it for credit, or just need to (b) provide credit for a training you are offering, the ITC staff can assist you.
General course offering dates
Most courses that the ITC offers for professional development run during either our Fall, Spring or Summer semesters. These courses have distinct start and end dates and instructors grade all content within three weeks of the course end date. In general:
Fall courses begin in September and end in December
Spring courses begin in January and ends in April
Summer courses begin in May and ends mid July
ITC also has the ability to offer courses with custom start and end dates. These are often built as supplemental elements for statewide trainings or other in-person offerings and require students to have some in-person time and then complete a quiz and assignment in canvas in order to receive credit.
As you are considering your course think about what format might best suit your content. Reach out to ITC if you need to discuss your options.
