# ITC Roles

## ITC Training/ Support Offered

1. [Learning Lab](https://idahotc.com/bits) (various 2-4 minute video tutorials)
2. [Introduction to Creating Accessible Documents online course](https://idahotc.com/lms) (asynchronous)

Additionally, there are myriad resources available online on the topic of document accessibility but here are two fantastic resources that offer trainings that are highly recommended:

1. [WebAIM Training](https://webaim.org/training/docs/)
2. [UW-Madison Information Technology](https://it.wisc.edu/learn/make-it-accessible/create-accessible-documents/)

## ITC Responsibilities

After many years of providing basic document accessibility training, the ITC is now expecting to have documents provided that have passed an accessibility check. We still review documents, but we have passed the torch to the content authors of documents and we expect that documents provided will pass an accessibility check. We are still willing to look over a document if it simply does not pass.

Due to our heavy demand for document posting, we are asking document providers to “pre-check” documents for accessibility to save us time and help you get your documents posted in a timely fashion.
